Documentary film screening and experience sharing on works with indigenous women – Online

Organized by Bophana Center

Bophana Center is implementing a project called “Amplifying voices of indigenous women and discriminated groups through innovative multimedia” which aims to amplify voices of indigenous women and discriminated groups through documentaries made by youths from their own communities.

In order to reflect on what the project has done, Bophana Center is willing to organize the film showcase and experience sharing event. The objective of the event is:
– To share ideas concerning issues faced by indigenous women in Cambodia.
– To receive and collect ideas and recommendations from the participants for finding ways to widely help amplify voices of indigenous women, so that their issues would be heard by relevant stakeholders and policy makers.

This event will take place on October 26, 2020 from 2 PM at the Bophana Center. The general public can attend the event live on Bophana Center Facebook page or the project’s Facebook page (Amplifying Voices of Indigenous Women and Discriminated Groups). This program will be conducted in Khmer.

This project is implemented by Bophana Center, supported by Voice, through Oxfam in Cambodia, the Australian Embassy, Cambodia, Heinrich Böll Stiftung Cambodia, Ford Foundation, and the Sundance Institute, in collaboration with Cambodia Film Commission.
