Khmer Rouge’s view on marriage was published into their policy magazine, Male and female revolutionary youth magazine since February 1974. After taking power, the Khmer Rouge introduced new form of marriage which was almost totally controlled by its Angkar. Wedding ceremony was completely changed. Wedding ceremony was organized for many couples as collective wedding. 1978, increasing number of couples were put into marriages.
