Special screening of 6 Cambodian shorts films with the presence of its directors

The screening will be in Khmer language with English subtitles.

These short films were in the competition at the 2016 Cambodia National Short Film Festival. Red Ink by Ly Polen, 14min, which won the 1st prize. The Wallet by Sok Chanphal, 7min. Me Tumpaing by Chin Chilheng, 9min. Goodbye Phnom Penh by Neang Kavich, 16min. Kim Sothea Thangdy’s Single Mother by Kim Sothea Thangdy, 4min. The Raft by Sokha Mengly, 7min.

Founded by film director Rithy Panh, Bophana Center collects every archive images and sounds on Cambodia, and it offers free public access to this unique heritage. Bophana Center also trains young Cambodians for careers in filmmaking, broadcasting and new media. The goal is to open their mind to artistic creation and foster a personal cultural production.
