Film showcase and experience sharing event at the target provinces – Online

Organized by Bophana Center

Bophana Center is implementing a project called “Amplifying voices of indigenous women and discriminated groups through innovative multimedia” which aims to amplify voices of indigenous women and discriminated groups through documentaries made by youths from their own communities.

In order to reflect on what the project has done, Bophana Center is willing to organize a film showcase and experience sharing event. The objective of the event is:
– To share ideas concerning issues faced by indigenous women in Cambodia.
– To receive and collect ideas and recommendations from the participants for finding ways to widely help amplify voices of indigenous women, so that their issues would be heard by relevant stakeholders and policy makers.

The event will be held in two sessions:
1. November 27, 2020, 8 AM in Ratanakiri province
2. November 30, 2020, 8 AM in Mondulkiri province (Postponed)

All the sessions will be live on Bophana Center Facebook page or the project’s Facebook page (Amplifying Voices of Indigenous Women and Discriminated Groups), so everyone can attend from anywhere, and these will be conducted in Khmer.

The project is implemented by Bophana Center, supported by Voice, through Oxfam in Cambodia, Australian Embassy, Cambodia, Heinrich Böll Stiftung Cambodia, Ford Foundation, and Sundance Institute, in collaboration with Cambodia Film Commission.
