Mr. Chea Saruon was born during the Lon Nol era. During the Khmer Rouge regime, he was ordered to cut down Siam weed trees, and cut firewood. In the dry season, he was ordered to collect cow manure in the field, and then he farmed with adults. In those days, food was not enough, sometimes there was nothing to eat. In 1978, he had become a spy because the Khmer Rouge thought he was young and active. After the Khmer Rouge, he enlisted in the army.
