The Mekong the Mother highlights the state of fisheries stock and exhibits vivid lives on the Mekong River. The film is part of the Mekong River Commission’s ongoing campaign to increase awareness of Mekong issues. The main purpose is to stress the need for strong regional cooperation in order to manage more efficiently the natural resources for a total population of 60 million living there.
