Biography

My name is Kasol Sinoun (Miss), I am 25 years old, of the Jarai indigenous ethnicity and Cambodian nationality. I live in Leurhon village, Ke Chong commune, Borkeo district in Ratanakiri province. In 2021, I got a  scholarship to study documentary film making from Bophana Center, and training on “Capacity Building for Indigenous Youth and Indigenous Audiovisual Establishment in Cambodia Through WIKIMEDIA”. I researched and produced a short film to address the struggle of a woman in her village under the title of “My Dream”.

Impression

I chose this topic because I wanted to show living conditions in a small village and address the problems that impact the whole community. I would like to show the value of education related to the living conditions, drug and alcohol problems, and other struggles in life.
