During the Khmer Republic, Khemma, a classical dancer, married a beautiful Czech doctor named Milan Knazko. Later, in April 1975, Khmer Rouge soldiers stormed Phnom Penh to take over the country. Kemma is pregnant almost every month, she is separated from her husband and parents. She was evacuated by the Khmer Rouge to remote areas from one area to another. What will Khemma’s life be like?
