“Wildlife and Forests in the far North-East of Cambodia”

Exhibition of Children’s Drawing

From 2 November to 11 November
Opening event: Friday November 6, at 6pm

Ethnic minorities living in the pristine forests of Northeast Cambodia have until recently been isolated from the rest of the country. These animist populations that lived in total biodiversity were for 5 years suddenly brought into contact with the springs of savage capitalism and excessive exploitation of natural resources. Wildlife and forests are paying a heavy price, but people too, and their culture, are threatened by extinction.
On the occasion of COP21, the present exhibition invites you to visit the world of Kavet and Lao Montagnards’ children living in the heart of this exceptional forest. None of them had ever held a pen before, so these unique drawings are also an expression of their extraordinary knowledge and sensitivity to the environment.

Free admission.
