Biography

My name is Nhoch Roeun (Miss), I am 20 years old, and of the Tampuan indigenous people, and I live in Loan village, Sangkat Yeak Loam, Krong Banlung in Ratanakiri province. I had an opportunity to attend the training at Bophana Center, “Capacity Building for Indigenous Youth and Indigenous Audiovisual Establishment in Cambodia Through WIKIMEDIA”.

Impression

I researched and produced a documentary film on women in my village and their preparation of a traditional kind of soup which is unique to Tampuan culture, and which we call “Powder Soup”. I would like to document this food as an expression of Tampuan identity, a tradition for the younger generation to follow and for a wider public to know about.
