The war has left many landmines across Cambodia, including the northeastern region​, Ratanakiri province. Cham Mao, a 43-year-old Jarai indigenous widow from Ten Ngol village in Yatung commune, O’Yadao district, lost her husband to a landmine accident after the liberation. At the time, she was five months pregnant and had to work on the farm to raise her daughter.
