Mr. Kroem Ret lives in Siem Reap. Before the Khmer Rouge, he was a monk. When the Khmer Rouge arrived in his village, he resigned from being a monk and worked in the mobile unit. He had a hard time getting enough food to eat. Later, with the approval of the cooperative president, he left the mobile unit and came to work in the cooperative.
