The Bophana Center, as a leading audiovisual archives institution in Cambodia, is pleased to commemorate 2019 World Day for Audiovisual Heritage under the theme “Engage the Past Through Sound and Images”. Two special events will take place on October 28th.

1. Workshop on “Restauration and Digitization of Audio Tapes”
The workshop is organized by the Bophana Center’s technicians. Since our place is limited, those who are interested please register in advance by sending a message (inbox) to the Bophana Center’s Facebook page. The program starts at 10am.

2. Presenting audio recording tapes of the “Reamker” narrated by Ta Soy and lecture
Rare documents, the audio recording tapes of the “Reamker” (Khol Theater) narrated by Ta Soy and compiled by Mr. Pic Bunnin, will be presented with his presence. In addition, Prof. Preap Chanmara, a lecturer at the Royal University of Fine Arts, will also give a lecture on “Influence of Reamker on Khmer tradition”. The program starts at 5:30pm.
