Kbal Neakta, the Head of our Ancestors

Directed by Bruno Carrete, 67min, 2005, English version

The city of Angkor is an undeniable landmark for Cambodia. However, civil wars, and men’s activity are the main causes of the destruction of the temples. The temples’ sculptures are victims of pillage. Heads of Buddha, Apsaras, Garudas…were cut and stolen by men. To understand more about this issue in a poetic way, this documentary tries to collect the points of view of Cambodian people towards the loss of those heritages left by their ancestors.
