Lands of the Lake

Directed by Christophe Gargiulo, 59min, 2008, English version

This movie follows fish migrations along the Mekong River down to the amazing fisheries of the Tonle Sap Lake. The influence of structures built on the water, on the environment, on fish and on people’s livelihoods is presented through stunning 3D animations, previously unseen footage and comparisons with other countries. The lessons drawn are essential to the sustainability of the most intensive inland fishery in the world.
