These documentary films are the work of trainees who studied documentary filmmaking at the Bophana Center under the project “Training Tomorrow’s Film Directors and Promoting Exchange and Archival Development through Cambodia’s Filmmaking” in 2024. The project was implemented by the Bophana Audiovisual Resource Center and supported by a grant from the Henry Luce Foundation. All these films bring together personal stories shaped by memory, history, and transformation. They reflect on individual journeys, artistic expression, and the impact of social and economic change. Through intimate portraits, they explore how people remember the past, face the present, and imagine their future.
