In the antique Kingdom of Champa, in the south of Vietnam, Po Naga is worshiped as an uncontested goddess. She established the power of women over men. Within the Cham community, women are the heads of the families and the founding ancestors of all the family descendants. Nowadays only a minority of Cham remains. The last heirs continue to practice an original religion populated with many spirits.
