National Diploma follows a group of young girls and boys who have to pass their final high school exam at Kisangani, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Dieudo Hamadi film them during the whole preparation for this exam: at school from where they are expelled when they do not pay the “teaching prime” to the “maquis” (communal houses) where they study together and to the streets of the city where they spend time to “look for life”.
