Two Malian students, Bah and Batrou meet at college. Bah is the descendant of a famous traditional leader. Batrou’s father, a military governor, represents the new power. Bah and Batrou are from a generation who rejects the established order and challenges the society. During a demonstration, both are arrested. They discover imprisonment, physical suffering, humiliation. Instead of weakening them, the event will make them closer and give them the force to resist.
