Don’t Think I’ve Forgotten: Cambodia’s Lost Rock And Roll
Directed by John Pirozzi, 2014, 105 min, English version with Khmer subtitles
Through the eyes, words and songs of its popular music stars of the 50s, 60s, and 70s, the film unravels Cambodia’s complex past. With interviews and rare archival material and songs, the film tracks the twists and turns of Cambodia’s incredible popular music scene as it morphs into rock & roll, blossoms and is nearly destroyed along with the rest of the country.
Film screening is in a partnership between Cambodian Living Arts and Bophana Audiovisual Resource Center.
