L’ ONG espagnole Paz y Desarrollo a projeté au centre Bophana leur  film  éducatif Briser le mur réalisé dans la province Ratanakiri. La projection était suivie d’une discussion sur l’importance croissante des productions de divertissement avec des messages éducatifs visant à engager la participation des femmes à la vie politique et de l’activisme.

Briser le mur est une production abordant  les questions de genre entre les Khmers et les communautés autochtones du nord-est du Cambodge où une organisation non–gouvernementale (ONG) s’efforce d’atteindre les communautés, l’amélioration de l’égalité des sexes en inspirant des changements dans leur comportement.

La seconde edition du Memory! International Film Heritage Festival a clôturé le 8 juin avec un grand ciné concert au théâtre Chaktomuk. Le programme varié autour du rire a réuni les visiteurs du festival, tant les jeunes Cambodgiens aussi que les délégués internationaux. Signe du succès de cette année, les salles pleines de Chaktomuk, du centre Bophana aussi que de l’ Institut Français du Cambodge !

Le documentaire Le Dernier Refuge, une production du centre Bophana, a été séléctionné pour être projeté au Festival international Dignité humaine, ayant lieu en Myanmar, du 15 au 19 juin 2014. Suivez ici la compétition !

The unique audio recordings of the Reamker have been inscribed on the ‘UNESCO World Heritage’ list !
These recordings of the Reamker recited by Ta Krut and recorded by Jacques Brune in 1965 and 1968 are one of the last tracks of a ten hour recitation of Cambodia’s version of the Ramayana. This historical record have been restored by Bophana Audiovisual Resource Center with the advice of Professor Alain Daniel and the support of UNESCO and Cambodian National Comission for UNESCO in 2012.
