The CINE CLUB program in June will have something very special for fans. We will meet with our guest, Mr. Hem Vanna, accompanied by the screening of the documentary “Lotus Sports Club”.

A coming-of-age story that centers on Leak, a teenage transman who plays football in Kampong Chhnang. Lotus Sports Club display the courage and passion of the Lotus Sports Club and Leak and LGBTQ+ member.

Founded by film director Rithy Panh, Bophana Center collects every archive images and sounds on Cambodia, and it offers free public access to this unique heritage. Bophana Center also trains young Cambodians for careers in filmmaking, broadcasting and new media. The goal is to open their mind to artistic creation and foster a personal cultural production.
