King NORODOM SIHANOUK gains full independence for Cambodia in 1953 bloodlessly. Samdech Norodom Sihanouk founded the Sangkum Reastr Niyum Party to participate in the 1955 national election. He won an overwhelming majority of the vote. He led the people to develop and build Cambodia, including factories, schools, hospitals and pagodas.

Founded by film director Rithy Panh, Bophana Center collects every archive images and sounds on Cambodia, and it offers free public access to this unique heritage. Bophana Center also trains young Cambodians for careers in filmmaking, broadcasting and new media. The goal is to open their mind to artistic creation and foster a personal cultural production.

ARPAA has a zero-tolerance policy on conduct that is incompatible with the aims and objectives of the United Nations and ARPAA, including sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of authority and discrimination. ARPAA also adheres to strict child safeguarding principles.
