Archive at Risk: Reamker Storytelling

On the occasion of the World Day for Audiovisual Heritage, Bophana Center is pleased to organize the event Reamker Storytelling.

Following the annual theme set for 2014 ‘Archives at Risk’, the event will focus on the archives of Reamker by Ta Krut, part of the Cambodian audiovisual heritage and included in the UNESCO’s list Memory of the World in 2014.

To celebrate this event a documentary ‘Reamker, Dancing with God’ will be screened. Following the screening, Bophana takes this opportunity to invite Ta Krut’s daughter, Krut Morn to partake in an open discussion with the public audience. Closing the event will be a live performance of the rare and at risk traditional Cambodian music called ARAK.
