Scholarship Opportunity: Documentary Filmmaking and Multimedia Training Program
Phnom Penh, Cambodia – Bophana Center is pleased to announce the recruitment of trainees for its 2025–2026 documentary filmmaking and multimedia training program.
With generous support from the Henry Luce Foundation, the Bophana Audiovisual Resource Center (ARPAA) is implementing a project titled “Training Tomorrow’s Film Directors and Promoting Exchange and Archival Development through Cambodia’s Filmmaking.”
The program aims to build the capacity of Cambodian youth to become future filmmakers, support them in producing films on topics of their interest, and promote the development of expertise in and about Southeast Asia through strengthened engagement between Cambodian and American institutions.
Twelve (12) scholarships will be awarded to Khmer and indigenous youths from different communities in Cambodia for the academic year 2025–2026.
Selection Criteria:
1. Cambodian nationals aged 18–30 (Khmer or from ethnic minority/indigenous groups)
2. A strong passion for storytelling and documenting their community
3. A commitment to attend all training sessions
4. Priority will be given to women and indigenous applicants
