Leave no one behind – beneficiaries and implementers of IDPoor

Opening exhibition: June 22nd at 5 pm

From June 21st to July 20th

The Identification of Poor Households Programme (IDPoor) is Cambodia’s poverty identification mechanism, run by the Ministry of Planning. This exhibition shows portraits of both beneficiaries and implementers of IDPoor along with brief stories about them. Through these personal accounts, one can learn about how IDPoor functions and how it affects people’s lives.

Every year, villagers throughout the country use the IDPoor questionnaire and participatory village gathering to determine which households will receive equity cards. These cards entitle them to social services such as cash transfers, low interest loans, legal support services, reduced government fees and free health care. IDPoor data covers the whole of Cambodia and is used by government programmes, NGOs and development partners to target their poverty reduction initiatives.

IDPoor is supported by the Australian and German Governments. This support is implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
