Vajrayana Buddhism in Ancient Cambodia
By Mr. Suon Sopheaktra, Archaeology Researcher
As we have known or even learnt from various books which talk of 2 big ‘vehicles’ of Buddhism: The Hinayana (small vehicle) and the Mahayana (big vehicle), so what is Vajrayana (diamond vehicle)? How to distinguish it from the former two ‘vehicles’? This presentation will talk briefly about Vajrayana Buddhism in ancient Cambodia, Angkorian period, based on archaeological and epigraphical evidences. The presentation is a short resume of the mini-research paper for the Bachelor’s degree of Archaeology at the Faculty of Archaeology, Royal University of Fine Arts, Phnom Penh.
This presentation will be in Khmer language.
