In 2006, Bophana Audiovisual Resource Center in collaboration with the Cambodian Living Art started the project of street singers perform stories and melodies which are part of the history and everyday reality of Cambodians. While it is unfortunate that the street singers are reduced to begging, the stories from the past and the present which they share provide a touching glimpse into the history, traditions, and soul of Cambodia. The music will immerse you in the atmosphere of the Phnom Penh neighborhoods.
