Press Release on the Implementation of the Project the Arts of Visibility and Positive Social Change

 

Bophana Audiovisual Resource Center (ARPAA) and Cambodia Indigenous Peoples Organization (CIPO) co-implement the project “The Arts of Visibility and Positive Social Change” for 21 months starting from April, 2022 to December 2023. This project is co-funded by Voice through Oxfam in Cambodia, Ford Foundation and Heinrich Böll Stiftung Cambodia.

Founded by film director Rithy Panh, Bophana Center collects every archive images and sounds on Cambodia, and it offers free public access to this unique heritage. Bophana Center also trains young Cambodians for careers in filmmaking, broadcasting and new media. The goal is to open their mind to artistic creation and foster a personal cultural production.

ARPAA has a zero-tolerance policy on conduct that is incompatible with the aims and objectives of the United Nations and ARPAA, including sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment, abuse of authority and discrimination. ARPAA also adheres to strict child safeguarding principles.
